Medical problems associated with obesity as well as water benefits, assessment, goals, and adaptation expectations are included in this CEC article. Precautions regarding control of movement, balance, impact, thermoregulation, movement restriction, over/under training and hypernea and dyspnea are also discussed. Suggestions for format modifications in programming including NHLBI guidelines are reviewed with adherence strategies.
